A warm welcome to the website of the Luanda International School. |
2011 IB Diploma Results The IB Diploma is a challenging and rigorous pre-university entrance program that the school has been offering to students in Years 12 and 13 since 2005. This year’s graduating class received their results in July and it was good news for both them and the school. Two students scored 40 points (out of a maximum 45) and the average point scored by the students (34) was a record for the school. The average subject grade was also up from 5.33 to 5.43 (out of a maximum 7) and in over 80% of the courses the average grade scored by LIS students was above the international average equivalent. All of the class –except one who is taking a gap year – will shortly be starting undergraduate study in universities in Norway, the US, the UK and Canada. We wish them well. There was also good news for two of our former students who relocated from LIS to ACS in UK after their Year 12 here. Both completed their IB Diplomas successfully and will study Business and Management at university in the UK. |
