The spirit of community was alive and thriving at the recent Welcome Back Picnic hosted by the Parent Association. LIS families came together to unwind, connect, and enjoy an evening filled with fun, food, and festivities.
The picnic boasted a delightful spread of refreshments, including an array of light bites such as pizza, shawarma wraps, popcorn, cotton candy and drinks. The Bao Buns from Satiate added a touch of culinary variety to the affair.
One of the highlights of the evening was the live streaming of the football game between Angola and Nigeria. This added an extra layer of excitement and entertainment for sports enthusiasts, further enhancing the overall experience.
We thank the operational and administrative support provided by the dedicated BOA staff members and volunteer parents. Their commitment ensured that everything ran smoothly, allowing attendees to fully immerse themselves in the festivities.
The Welcome Back Picnic not only provided a platform for families to come together but also served as a reminder of the strong sense of community that defines LIS. It was an occasion for parents, students, and staff alike to make new connections, strengthen existing bonds, and celebrate the spirit of togetherness that is integral to the LIS experience.
